Abstract

An efficient method for the solid-phase synthesis of N(ω)propylarginine-containing dipeptide analogues is presented. A variety of polymer-bound dipeptide analogues with L-ornithine at the Nor C-terminus was formed on the solid support, and the conversion of polymer-bound ornithine to N(ω)-propylarginine generated the desired dipeptides. 1H-Pyrazole-N-propyl- 1-carboxamidine was found to be an effective guanylating agent.
