Abstract

Fetal abdominal wall abnormalities are not usually recognized on sonographic examination until the second or third trimester of pregnancy. With the present availability of endovaginal transducers, it may be possible to recognize such abnormalities in the first trimester. We report a case of omphalocele diagnosed sonographically during the 10th week of gestation.
