Abstract

This paper presents a Smoothed Particle Hydrodynamics (SPH) model for the simulation of two-phase flows. The model solves the Navier-Stokes Equations for compressible fluids and is able to handle fluids with high density and compressibility ratio such in the air-water case. Viscosity in the fluids is evaluated using a large eddy simulation approach. The model is applied to the simulation of some example cases including dam break, wave breaking and wave-structure interaction.
