Abstract

Spin glass behaviour of slowly cooled beta -phase CoxGa 1-x, compounds is reported for compositions 0.51<or=x<or=0.55. This is indicated by a sharp cusp in the temperature dependence of the AC magnetic susceptibility. Below the spin glass transition temperature the magnetic susceptibility obeys a compositionally independent universal function of the temperature.
