Abstract

Analytical and numerical techniques were applied to explore the stability of the nonlinear multilayer structures. The stability of the input-output intensity relationships were investigated depending upon the nonlinear properties of the materials. A relationship was also derived that described the envelope within which the transmittance processes in multi stable devices were developed.
