Strategies for the Communications Unit: How Can We Become Central to the University and Its Mission?

Research output: Contribution to journalArticlepeer-review

Abstract

Considers why communications departments are not considered central to the mission of universities and makes suggestions about what can be done. Maintains that labeling of communications departments as "communications departments" is ambiguous; communications departments lack intellectual unity and are isolated; and they do not address public questions about communication practice in the world.
