Abstract

The structural changes in thermodynamic and kinetic properties of glassforming liquids upon cooling and compression, were investigated. The structural changes suggest changes in local structure of liquid in fragile glassformers. It was observed that pressure-internal energy correlations reflect the structure of rearrangement changes. The general relations were used between structural contributions and fluctuations of energy and pressure in rearrangement motion. The results show that correlations between density and energy changes in local structure fluctuations are weak.
