Abstract

The authors present preliminary results of an investigation of a Pb-I-Pb-I-Sn-I-Sn-I-Pb superconducting amplifying tunnel device. It was found experimentally that the I-V characteristic of the Sn-I-Sn-I-Pb detector structure is altered when a DC bias current is supplied to the Pb-I-Pb generator. The device has a voltage gain Gv up to 10 and a current gain Gl ranging from 0.2 to 6. The input and output circuits of this device are well isolated.
