Research output: Chapter in Book/Report/Conference proceedingChapter

Abstract

This chapter begins by tracing the history of superfluids. It then describes some novel superconductors and superfluids, including copper oxides, heavy fermion metals, strongly anisotropic superconductors, organic metals, and iron-based pnictides. This is followed by discussions of phase transitions, in particular the crossover BEC–BCS transition, and small superfluid particles.
