Abstract

Expert knowledge of nasal anatomy and function is the key to success in rhinoplasty surgery. Facial analysis and facial aesthetic principles must always be a part of the initial patient evaluation. Surgical manipulations of the nasal anatomy have functional and aesthetic impact. A skilled rhinoplasty surgeon understands the interaction between anatomical units and takes care to preserve these functional relationships to avoid future complications.
