Abstract

Tendon injuries are one of the most common reasons for consultation in an elbow clinic and are prevalent among young patients with high expectations and sport-related activities. Biceps tendon injuries affect active middle-aged males and can be very disabling in patients with high physical demands. Clinical features of this injury and the current management strategies are presented. Tendon augmentation techniques are also described for symptomatic chronic cases. Triceps tendon injuries are rare and frequently misdiagnosed. Key aspects in the diagnosis and treatment are presented, including the use of grafting techniques for chronic cases.
