Abstract

The Arab Telecommunication market has been witnessing an important change over the last decade. Transformations have occurred in the broadcasting industry as satellite television has disrupted the traditional stability of the broadcasting market. Transformations have also occurred in the internet industry as connectivity rates have grown tremendously in free oriented markets in many Arab countries. Although webcasting is at an early stage, it has a great potential for development within the region since the internet is becoming more popular and broadband access is increasingly being introduced in many countries.
