Abstract
The Center for Quantum Devices (CQD) at Northwestern University, Illinois, USA, opened in June 1992, and since then has built a worldwide reputation for making scientific advances in the field of semiconductor science and technology. The CQD sees its role as providing a bridge between new technology and scientific knowledge, and the materials of the 21st century. This article highlights some of the current research activities at the CQD.
