Abstract

The effect of oxygen as a surfactant on thermal stability in CoFe/Cu multilayer films (MLF) was investigated. Room temperature GMR curves for sputtered CoFe MLFs. The increase in inter-diffusion of the layers deposited with oxygen following annealing was confirmed by transmission electron microscopy (TEM).
