Abstract

A single crystal X-ray structural study of a diprotonated bis(1,7-diaza-12-crown-4), crystallised from a methanolic solution, reveals that a methanol molecule is bound to each protonated crown via both [O-H ⋯ N] and [N⁺-H ⋯ O] hydrogen bonds.
