Abstract
A selective review of experimental studies of vibrational energy transfer in cryogenic solutions is presented, with a focus on work carried out within the last five years. The applicability of isolated binary collision (IBC) models to a number of experimentally studied systems is considered. Also discussed are possible circumstances under which current IBC treatments may break down and possible experimental studies that might test the range of applicability of this model.
