Abstract

The reaction 2NO + CO → N2O + CO2 has been found to be catalyzed by [Rh(NO)2(PPh3)2] in N,N-dimethylformamide (DMF) solution. The rate expression and thermodynamic quantities found are consistent with a mechanism involving a dirhodium species and DMF.
