The theoretical products of design research

Research output: Chapter in Book/Report/Conference proceedingConference contribution

Abstract

Design remains methodologically underdeveloped, especially in defining the nature of its theoretical products. To more rigorously define design research products we argue that design research products are arguments for how people should learn in the form of practical prototypes and theoretical models including blueprints and design arguments. Understanding the products of design research helps improve the methodology and solve educational challenges.
