Abstract

Results are presented for a complete investigation that took into account the self-phase modulation (SPM) and cross-phase modulation (CPM) of the pump and probe beams and the spatial mode profiles of both the pump and LO beams. Particularly, the optimum LO pulse needed to detect maximum squeezing is investigated. Results showed that the homodyne phase mismatch and the pump-probe phase mismatch were the two main factors affecting the amount of squeezing.
