Abstract

The thermoreversible crosslinking effects such as gelation transition of polyelectrolyte chains were investigated within the Flory model of ideal association. The electrostatic interaction between charges were considered using a generalized random phase approximation (RPA). An infinitely large polymer network was formed at certain concentration of linking agents. The results show that gelation transitions underwent phase segregation only within region bound by gelation curves.
