Abstract

The thermoreversible, epitaxial fcc ↔ bcc transitions were studied in block copolymer solutions. The highly aligned fcc crystals were seen to transform epitaxially to bcc crystals using small-angle x-ray scattering on shear-oriented solutions. The transition was found to be driven by decreasing solvent selectivity with increasing temperature, including solvent penetration of the micellar core.
