In conclusion, we have demonstrated tuning of a singly-resonant pulsed fiber-optic parametric oscillator over a 74-nm range encompassing the entire gain bandwidth of Er-doped fiber amplifiers. Alternatively, similar tunable FOPO's could be made near 1310nm, where standard telecommunication fiber has zero dispersion and mode-locked Nd-doped lasers are available for pumping.
