Abstract
We encountered two cases of facial cleft that fit the anatomic description for the rare Tessier no. 2 type cleft. One patient had another two clefts: a no. 1 cleft on the nostril rim and a no. 13 cleft extending to the cranium as a no. 1 cleft. The other patient presented a no. 12 cleft corresponding to the cranial extension of a no. 2 cleft of the face. In these two patients, the clinical expressions were different, but both showed a deformity on the nostril rim. Thus, an auricular cartilage graft for the nasal deformity was performed in both cases.
