Abstract
Typical type C virus particles were seen in tissues of 'virus negative' SWR mice. These particles were present in normal tissues, in a spontaneous lymphoma and in 2 X-ray induced lymphomas. They were present in SWR mice as young as 6 weeks. By contrast with the electron microscopic findings, all attempts to find evidence of infectious type C viruses failed.
