Abstract
This paper presents a framework for analyzing uncertainties in urban transportation planning and decision-making. Types and sources of uncertainty are identified along with their implications. Approaches for dealing with uncertainty in transportation planning are discussed. Issues and fundamental-considerations are offered as guidelines for explicit recognition of uncertainty in transportation system evaluation methods.
