Understanding obesity by asking the right questions

Research output: Contribution to journalReview articlepeer-review

Abstract

Obesity, once considered a sign of wealth and high stature in the community, is now a global health problem and one of the leading causes of morbidity and mortality. Although weight gain occurs when energy intake exceeds energy expenditure, the causes and treatment are more complex than the simple energy balance equation would suggest. A new text on the subject challenges us to think out of the box for answers and solutions.
