Abstract

The successful use of an activated PCC in combination with a fibrinolytic agent in a patient with severe hemophilia and inhibitor to Factor VIII has been described. Activated prothrombin complex concentrate effected rapid hemostasis, and no complication occurred. In comparison with other materials currently used to achieve hemostasis in such patients, this concentrate appears to be safer and more effective, if properly administered.
