Abstract

An investigation was conducted to assess the structural performance of concrete slabs reinforced with expanded metal. The investigation included a total of eight tests on specimens containing a single layer of expanded metal for tension reinforcement. Variables include the size of expanded metal, splice conditions, and orientation of the metal in the long way diamond or short way diamond directions.
