Abstract

The utilization of ultrasound guidance plays a somewhat limited but significant role in hepatobiliary intervention. In general, ultrasound increases the accuracy and safety of procedures such as percutaneous cholecystostomy and percutaneous biliary drainage. In this article we detail the techniques and results of sonographic guidance for such procedures.
