Abstract
Improving the quality of cancer care requires high-quality data, mechanisms to feed back information to hospitals, systems to act on the data, and participation of providers. The purpose of this review is to describe how the National Cancer Database (NCDB) can be utilized to improve the quality of cancer care in the United States through a variety of benchmarking reports and data feedback mechanisms available to hospitals approved by the Commission on Cancer (CoC).
